LAURA MACKIE

Laura was Director of Drama Commissioning at ITV between 2007 and 2013 when she set up Mainstreet Pictures with Sally Haynes. Her commissions include ‘Kingdom’, ‘Primeval’, ‘Lost in Austen’, ‘Wuthering Heights’ and thrillers: ‘Collision’, ‘Whitechapel’, ‘Unforgiven’, ‘Above Suspicion’ plus single films ‘My Boy Jack’ and ‘Englishman in New York’. In Autumn 2010 Laura oversaw the ratings busting ‘Downton Abbey’ as well as ‘Little House’ and ‘DCI Banks’.

Laura commissioned successful returning series ‘Scott & Bailey’ and ‘Vera’ as well as the supernatural thriller ‘Marchlands’, single film ‘The Suspicions of Mr Whicher’, ‘The Jury’, ‘Endeavour’ and BAFTA award winning factual drama ‘Appropriate Adult’. 2013 saw the successful launch and recommission of period series ‘Mr Selfridge’ and the ratings busting and acclaimed emotional thriller ‘Broadchurch’ starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman which won BAFTA for best serial in 2013. Laura was awarded the RTS Judges’ Award in 2012 for her contribution to television drama.

Prior to ITV Laura was Head of Drama Series and Serials at the BBC. During this time she oversaw a diverse output including ‘Auf Wiedersehen, Pet’, ‘Cutting It’, and the period adaptations ‘Daniel Deronda’, ‘Charles II’, ‘North & South’ and ‘To The Ends of the Earth’. She has also overseen ‘State of Play’, ‘Canterbury Tales’, ‘The Long Firm’, ‘Blackpool’, ‘The Line of Beauty’, and the BAFTA award winning serial ‘Bleak House’ and one-off dramas, ‘Flesh and Blood’ and ‘Hawking’.

In Autumn 2010 Sally oversaw the ratings busting ‘Downton Abbey’ as well as ‘Scott & Bailey’. More recently Sally commissioned successful returning series ‘DCI Banks’, ‘Vera’ and ‘Endeavour’ as well as the supernatural thriller ‘Marchlands’ and single films ‘The Suspicions of Mr Whicher’ and BAFTA award winning ‘Appropriate Adult’. In 2013 she oversaw the return of the second series of the hugely successful ‘Mr Selfridge’ and commissioned the ratings success and BAFTA award winning thriller ‘Broadchurch’.

Prior to ITV Sally was Executive Producer at the BBC in the Drama Serials department, working with Laura Mackie through the merger of the department with Drama Series before becoming Senior Executive Producer responsible for the development of drama produced in Manchester and Birmingham. During this time she oversaw a diverse output including ‘Cutting It’, ‘Canterbury Tales’, ‘Blackpool’ and the BAFTA award winning serial ‘Bleak House’.

ANI KEVORK

HEAD OF PRODUCTION
 

Ani oversees all productions for Mainstreet Pictures. She has a broad range of experience working across several departments, from development and marketing to post production - both within the studio system and as a freelancer.

Having worked for a number of years in Los Angeles, she moved to London in 2010.  She first came to work for Mainstreet Pictures on a freelance basis, and prior to taking on the role of Head of Production she Line Produced ‘AGE BEFORE BEAUTY’, the third season of ‘UNFORGOTTEN’ and ‘GOLD DIGGER’ for the company.

OLIVER FRYER

Legal & Business Affairs
 

Oliver handles all Mainstreet's legal and business affairs work. Having initially worked as a solicitor in a specialist media firm, he has been doing this schtick for television and film clients for longer than he cares to remember. Previous roles have included Zenith Entertainment, Disney, NBC and Sega and he has worked on multiple productions for UK and international drama producers
